Aqeeqah is the sacrifice offered in gratitude for the birth of a child — traditionally two sheep for a boy and one for a girl. The meat is shared with family, friends, and those in need, bringing the community together in celebration and worship.

What is Aqeeqah?

Aqeeqah is the sunnah of offering a sacrifice (sheep or goat) on the occasion of a child's birth, usually performed on the seventh day. It is an expression of gratitude to Allah for the blessing of a new life.

Who benefits?

The meat is distributed in three parts — one for the family, one for friends and relatives, and one for the poor — so that the joy of the occasion is shared, especially with those in need.

How does it work?

We arrange the sacrifice on your behalf and distribute the fresh meat to needy families. You'll receive confirmation once the aqeeqah has been completed, in many of the world's most vulnerable communities.
